As part of an initiative to combat marijuana grow operations, the RCMP will post online the addresses of all drug grow-ops and clandestine labs that police dismantle.
The move is part of an RCMPled initiative launched Wednesday in Ottawa that will focus on enforcement, deterrence and awareness.
The addresses will remain on the RCMP website for one year.
"Marijuana grow operations pose a serious threat to Canadians, the safety of our communities and the law-enforcement officers fighting against these illegal operations," said Shelly Glover, the Conservative MP for Saint Boniface, Man., and a former police officer.
"Marijuana grow operations harm communities. Wherever they exist, there's the potential for an increase in criminal activity and a greater chance of fire, explosions and violence," said the RCMP's Mike Cabana.
